The Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb) has just concluded her first Moot Arbitration Master Class for the year on Domestic Arbitration.
The event commenced around 11am.
The Moot on Domestic Arbitration, understudied the case between Sachs Business Consulting Limited (SBCL) and Vas Technic Limited (VTL). Where Sachs Business Consulting Limited (SBCL) declared a dispute with VAS Technic Limited (VTL) in connection with a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) made between the parties. Both SBCL and VTL are privately owned companies incorporated and domiciled in Nigeria.
While VTL is a System Integration and IT Consulting Enterprise engaged in the provision of technology and value-added services, SBCL is a Business Solutions Consulting, Brand Promotion and Sales Activation company.
The dispute was resolved by Three (3) Arbitrators and the Award was in favour of the Respondent.
Just before the end of the webinar the participants were given the opportunity to interact and ask questions, which was addressed by a three-man panel tribunal. The webinar ended with the participants thanking the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators and also requesting for more of this webinars.
