This seminar was organised on 30th January, 2020 at the Cedar Place, 12 Jibowu Street, Yaba, Lagos for non-members of the Institute and the general public with all professionals in mind. The idea behind this seminar was to inform the uninformed about Arbitration and other forms of ADRs and what one stands to gain by submitting disputes through this route. The seminar was anchored by the Registrar – Mrs Shola Oshodi – John, FCArb and had 2.(two) speakers (1) Mr. Shola Abiloye, Esq, FCArb who spoke on ‘The Importance of a valid and Enforceable Arbitration Agreement’ and (2) Mr. Edward Ejemeh, Esq, FCArb who spoke on – ‘The Role of Parties and Counsel in the Arbitration Process.
